Grier, 68, shared a post on Threads where he said, “BREAKING NEWS: Actor, and comedian David Alan Grier has announced that he will officially retire from acting in 32 years, after reaching the age of 💯.”
Fans responded quickly to the post, asking “So in 32 years you’re retiring?” prompting the actor to respond with a GIF of Prince saying “yes, yes.”
Others chided the Jumanji star, writing, “David PLEASE!!!!” and “You play too got dam much!”
Several fans jumped in to say that when they first saw the post on their feeds with a photo of the actor, they concluded that something bad must have happened to him.
