Exclusive: Tom Brady’s secret advice to Taylor Swift: What really went down… Find out
The former NFL star gave Swift a tip for performing at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
Before Tom Brady experienced Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in person, the retired NFL star offered a bit of advice for the superstar singer ahead of her performance in Miami.
In a vlog on his YouTube channel, Brady, 47, took fans along as he and his two sons, John “Jack” Edward Thomas, 17, and Benjamin Rein, 14, saw Swift, 34, perform at Hard Rock Stadium on Oct. 19.
Before arriving at the venue — the same stadium where Brady had a losing record (8-10) during his NFL career — the seven-time Super Bowl champ offered Swift “a little personal advice from my experience down here.”
“Taylor, it’s humid. You’ve got a long set. It’s a four-quarter game,” Brady began in his message to Swift.
“Save a little something for the end. That’s what I never did,” he advised.
Brady’s cameraman pointed out that Swift likely has “more people in the stadium” at her highly-demanded show than the former NFL star and his teammates had at their games.
The father-of-three agreed, adding, “She wins every night.”
He also revealed which of Swift’s iconic eras he identifies with most, writing, “I think I learned I’m a Reputation guy,” in the caption of an Instagram post. Swift released Reputation, her sixth studio album, in 2017.
Brady shares John “Jack” Edward Thomas with his ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and Benjamin Rein with his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen. The former NFL star also has an 11-year-old daughter Vivian, whom he shares with Bündchen.
Last month, Brady exclusively told PEOPLE he’s “very happy” with life these days as he settles into his new gig at Fox Sports.
“I’m back to work and I’m enjoying that, so I have no complaints,” Brady said. “Just like everybody else, I try to wake up and try to do my best for the people that matter the most to me. And when you commit to the people like I have in my broadcasting at Fox, I want to do a great job for them and my teammates there. So my life’s pretty full. I’m very happy.”
