Suge knight Expresses his disappointment in some of his friends in industry and says “it’s not only Diddy that is involved or to be blamed but some certain people like… See more
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest created a chain reaction that brought light to the darkest corners of the music industry. Everyone who was even closely associated with the disgruntled rapper has been condemned in the eyes of the public, and very few have managed to make it out unscathed. The accusations stacked against Combs are very serious, having shocked some of his closest friends and even his foes.
Suge Knight and Combs famously do not get along. Their feud has been going on for decades now, and one can imagine that they thought the worst of each other. Despite this, the former CEO of Death Row Records is in awe of the dirty laundry that is coming out against the rapper.
Suge Knight isn’t a saint in the slightest. Being a convicted felon and serving a 28-year sentence in prison, his opinions and thoughts are heard through his podcast, which he hosts from behind bars.
Despite his situation, there is still a level of shock in his tone when he talks about recent events in the music industry. Recently, he gave an interview with NewsNation, where he essentially speculated that Diddy wasn’t doing these things on his own.
Knight suggested that the disgruntled rapper was simply a fall guy—a person that the music industry could use as a scapegoat so that the rest of its darkness doesn’t see the light of day. The record executive put forth some very interesting theories, suggesting that this has been a cycle that Combs was simply a part of.
Puffy didn’t get to where he got by doing those things listed in the allegations by himself. He was taught by people before him and he did it to the younger people after him.
He pointed out that Combs could not have learned all these things on his own. Knight suggested that there were people before Combs who taught him about these things, and in return, the rapper taught them to people younger than him.
While the speculation that Suge Knight is doing is concerning enough on its own, he ended up taking it a step further. It can easily be assumed that Diddy’s activities weren’t all too secret within the music industry. So much so that even the federal authorities mentioned it, stating that his actions were widely known and that they had gone on for years.
Jumping off his own theory, Knight mentioned that there was, perhaps a time, when people knew what was happening to Combs. Keeping this in mind, he also seemingly expected big names like Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, and Dr. Dre, to speak up:
I don’t care if it’s T.I., I don’t care if it’s Rick Ross, I don’t care if it’s Jay [Z], I don’t care if it’s Snoop [Dogg], I don’t care if it’s Dre, I don’t care if it’s The Game, nobody’s stepping up on the fact that you know what’s going on.
Calling them out for not helping the rapper or even stopping him when they knew what was going on, there is no denying that Knight made a bold move.
